Massive Japanese publisher and game developer GungHo Online Entertainment are estimated to be making well over one million pounds a day from just one game. The money maker in question is puzzle and dragons.

The puzzle game has made over £30M this month already along, and continues to make big strides in the mobile gaming world. Puzzle and Dragons is a free to play game and is available on the IOS and Android.

A Japanese Phenomenon

This money that is being made is mainly in the country of Japan but it soon could catch on in other continents in the future. To play the game, you must destroy enemies, explore loads of different dungeons and collect loads of monsters.

In “Puzzle & Dragons,” players embark on a quest as a “Dungeon Master” to battle monsters and explore dungeons. The game combines elements of match-three puzzle gameplay with strategic team-building and RPG mechanics.

The core gameplay involves matching orbs of different colors on a grid to create combos and unleash attacks. Successfully matching orbs of the same color triggers various actions, such as dealing damage to enemies, healing allies, or charging special skills. As players progress, they can collect and evolve a diverse roster of monsters and creatures to form powerful teams with unique abilities.

The game features a robust multiplayer component, allowing players to team up with friends or other players in co-operative gameplay or engage in player-versus-player battles. Cooperative play involves tackling challenging dungeons together, while player-versus-player mode enables players to compete against each other in real-time matches.

“Puzzle & Dragons” offers a wide range of content, including regular events, special dungeons, and collaborations with other popular franchises. These collaborations introduce themed dungeons and characters from other games, anime, and even movies, adding a unique twist to the gameplay and attracting fans from different communities.

The mobile game is number 1 in the Japanese charts and has been out available to the general public since February 2012, and had a release in European shores last November. Not a bad way to gain loads of profits, and this shows that mobile gaming has a big community.
