More gossip and rumours are hitting the web this week with the release date of the upcoming Xbox 720 the main talking point. Originally, the new Xbox was supposed to be unveiled at the end of this month at a gaming press conference.
Now though, new rumours suggest that Microsoft have thought twice about announcing the next gen console this month, and instead unveil the 720 next month on May 21st.
These rumours have been created by well know source (Paul Thurrott) who’s got very reliable contacts in the digital and gaming industry. Leaked gaming news has come from Paul before and has stood true in more cases than any other gossiper.
Paul Thurrott also states that the Xbox 720 will indeed be coming out at some point in November 2013. The PlayStation 4 has been confirmed for a November release date with Battlefield 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag launching on the next gen console.
This will give Sony a considerable advantage in taking the bull by the horns so to speak. Microsoft however, might be looking at what the new PS4 brings and look to make their machine considerably better in performance.
You’ve got to remember, that these are all rumours and idle gossip so no one can be certain until Microsoft confirm otherwise. The pricing for the next-gen machine will also be around £350 or $500 according to Paul Thurrott as well.
