Sony recently came out and said that the upcoming PlayStation 4 console will support the function of being able to play video games whilst they’re actually downloading. Well, Naughty Dog told Gameinformer that their upcoming survival horror (The Last of Us) will be able to be playable whilst being downloaded.
The PlayStation 3 exclusive digital version will be able to be played once the download reaches halfway, about the 50% mark. This is going to be really convenient for gamers that don’t have a lot of time for download speeds and all that waiting around. Talking of waiting, the actual full length game was hampered by delays on the road to it’s June release.
The game follows the story of Joel, a hardened survivor, and Ellie, a young girl with immunity to a fungal infection that has devastated humanity. Together, they embark on a dangerous journey across a ravaged United States, encountering hostile human factions and infected creatures along the way.
Gameplay in The Last of Us combines third-person exploration, stealth, and intense combat sequences. Players navigate through various environments, scavenge for resources, solve puzzles, and engage in tactical combat against both human enemies and infected creatures. The game emphasises a strategic approach, as ammunition and supplies are limited, requiring players to make careful choices and use stealth or creative tactics to overcome challenges.
