Ubisoft have confirmed that Rayman Legends will be arriving on the PS Vita after all. The portable edition will now join the console versions in late August in just a couple of months time.

The newly announced PS Vita version will have five exclusive maps playable with Murphy, the full console game with all the levels, two exclusive character costumes and be playable using the touch pad.

The two costumes will be Sam Fisher who’s the lead character in the Splinter Cell series, and that will be available for Globox. There will also be a Prince of Persia outfit for Rayman to suit up in.

leaderboards will also be included, with online challenges for players to try and make it to the very top. Local and online multiplayer will also feature in the cartoon/adventure game.

At first, Rayman Legends was supposed to be a Nintendo Wii U-exclusive due for release in February this year. Then Ubisoft had to delay the titles launch until August when all of a sudden the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions were announced.

A challenge application was launched this month for the Wii U as a freebie for Ubisoft’s loyal fan-base as an apology for the games delays.

Rayman Legends will arrive on the PS Vita, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on August 29th in the USA and August 30th in Europe.
