It’s been revealed that players will be able to earn two very different sets of achievements for the cross-generational titles if you are the owner of the Xbox One and 360 versions.

Marc Whitten, who’s the Microsoft exec for Xbox One confirmed the news to IGN late last night.

“Every game has its own set of achievements, so if you’re playing Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox 360 and on Xbox One, you can earn a separate set of Gamerscore in each game,” he said.

“But on the Xbox One version, you’re getting a much richer set of features, such as seeing your achievements progress on the Xbox One console, being able to unlock new achievements throughout the year, and earning real prizes inside and outside of the game.”

The other Microsoft platforms won’t be sharing achievements either, so this will mean that you’ll be able to grab two lots of Call of Duty Ghosts awards or three lots of ilomilo Gamerscore.

There’s not been an official date set yet for the Xbox One by Microsoft, but when it does arrive, gamers can look forward to titles such as NFS: Rivals, FIFA 14 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
