Final Fantasy 14 Receives Extended Gameplay trailer

A lengthy gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy 14 which includes new environments, A Realm Reborn’s character creator, and more can be viewed below.

The footage is courtesy of Square Enix Japan, which to some, may be hard to interpret as it’s voice-over is unfortunately in Japanese. If you’re use to MMO or the Final Fantasy series, then you’ll most probably be able to tell what’s going on through the video whilst hopefully enjoying it’s content.

In Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn, players create their own unique character and embark on adventures in the fantasy world of Eorzea. The game features a rich and immersive storyline, diverse playable races and classes, and a vast open world to explore. Players can engage in a wide range of activities, including questing, dungeon crawling, raiding, crafting, gathering, and player-versus-player (PvP) battles.

The game offers a flexible class system, known as the “Armoury System,” allowing players to freely switch between various classes and professions by equipping different weapons or tools. This feature enables players to experience different playstyles and roles without creating multiple characters.

Look Out For The Open Beta

Final Fantasy XIV also places a strong emphasis on cooperative play and social interaction. Players can form parties or join guilds, known as “Free Companies,” to tackle challenging content together and participate in large-scale battles against formidable enemies called “Primals.”

The open beta starts on August 17th, so that might be a date that’s worth jotting down in your calendar. The highly anticipated MMORPG relaunches for PS3, MAC OS X and Windows PC on August 27th later this month. A mobile edition for Android & IOS is not in the works but a PlayStation 4 edition is widely expected to be released in early 2014 next year.
