Cygames, the developer behind the popular RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink, has recently released a new update for the game.

While the highly anticipated additions of playable characters Seofon and Tweyen are not included in this patch, version 1.1.4 still brings a handful of notable changes to improve the overall gameplay experience.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the acclaimed action RPG, has received another update, version 1.1.4, which focuses on addressing various issues and making improvements to the game.

The patch notes for this update are as follows:

Changes from Ver. 1.1.3:

  • [Quests] Raised the drop rates of Tears of the Apocalypse and Dark Residue obtained from The Final Vision quest.
  • [Quests] Fixed a bug where link attacks performed by Ferry weren’t correctly counted for the “Perform at least X link attacks” side goal.
  • [System] Fixed a bug that caused the Steam version of the game to pause when the game is no longer the active window.

The previous update, version 1.1.3, also included some changes worth noting:

  • [Online] Implemented measures to address technical difficulties that are hampering matchmaking for Steam players. The developers are continuously working to fix the cause of these issues.

One of the key updates in this patch is the increase in drop rates for two crucial materials obtained from the “The Final Vision” quest.

This quest tasks players with tackling Lucilius, the game’s most challenging boss. By raising the drop rates of Tears of the Apocalypse and Dark Residue, Cygames has made the grind for these materials less tedious for players.

Additionally, the update has resolved a bug that prevented Ferry’s Link Attacks from being properly counted towards the “Perform at least X Link Attacks” side goal.

This ensures that players can more easily complete this particular objective during their quests.

Furthermore, the PC version of the title has received a fix for a bug that caused the game to pause when the window was no longer the active application.

This improvement should provide a smoother overall experience for players on the Steam platform.

Changes made before upcoming showcase event

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Initially delayed, the game receieved a playable demo in January and then fully launched on Jan 31st this year.

The RPG continues to receive post-launch support from Cygames, with a new showcase event scheduled for April 25th.

This event may reveal more details about the highly anticipated additions of Seofon and Tweyen, the two new playable characters set to arrive later this month.

These patches demonstrate Cygames’ commitment to continuously improving Granblue Fantasy: Relink for players across various platforms.

The team is actively addressing bugs, optimising gameplay, and enhancing the overall quality of the game based on player feedback.
