The total number of regular players that play on the online massively multiplayer video game “League of Legends” has surpassed the 5 million mark now. The figure is absolutely outstanding, and the game seems to be going from strength to strength over the years.
The number of players is even more than that of Dota 2 which is played on by a serious amount of gamers worldwide. Dota 2 recently took the title for the most played video game on Steam.
Riot released the number to the general public this week, and only last October they revealed that the number of players was something in the region of 3 million users. Now that number has increased by another 2 million to 5 million in just under 6 months.
