  • The Resident Evil 2 remake is also in development for Apple’s devices.

Prepare for a truly chilling experience on your favourite Apple gadgets! Capcom has announced that two iconic entries from the legendary Resident Evil survival horror series are headed to iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

Both games promise spine-tingling gameplay perfectly adapted for iOS and macOS.

First Up: Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Leading the charge on July 2nd is the terrifying Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

This first-person horror adventure originally released in 2017 to widespread acclaim. Now, it’s being expertly optimised for Apple’s latest iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPads, and M1-powered Macs.

For the first time, players can immerse themselves in the nightmarish experience using intuitive touch controls.

But don’t worry, an optional ‘Auto Fire’ feature lets you automatically shoot at enemies just by aiming, making the game a bit more approachable for newcomers.

The iOS and macOS version comes packed with extras too! It includes the ‘Not A Hero’ story expansion starring Chris Redfield on his mission to end the case once and for all.

Players can also upgrade to the ‘Gold Edition’ to unlock a trove of additional content like the ‘End of Zoe’ episode, the spine-chilling ‘Banned Footage’ volumes, an ultra-challenging ‘Madhouse’ difficulty mode, and more.

Before taking the full plunge, you can even try free previews of both titles through the App Store.

The Resident Evil 2 Remake Follows

But the terror doesn’t stop there! Capcom is hard at work porting the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 2 remake to Apple’s ecosystem as well.

This vivid reimagining of the 1998 classic boasts stunning graphics and modernised gameplay.

Much like Resident Evil 7, it promises full optimisation for touchscreens and Apple’s powerful silicon.

An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, but RE fans can start looking forward to reliving this beloved chapter on the go.

With these high-profile releases, Capcom is doubling down on bringing AAA gaming experiences to mobile.

Last year’s releases of Resident Evil Village and the Resident Evil 4 remake have already demonstrated the studio’s commitment to Apple’s platforms.

Now, with two more iconic entries on the way, horror aficionados and newcomers alike can finally brave the nightmare worlds of RE anytime, anywhere on their favourite Apple devices.
