After a seemingly endless period of anticipation, fans finally had a taste of Diablo 4 during the open beta in March, causing an outburst of excitement. Fear not if you missed out due to time constraints: Blizzard is hosting another playtest designed to put their server infrastructure through its paces. The “Server Slam” playtest for Diablo 4 is set to kick off on Friday, 12th May.

Diablo 4 Beta Start Times

The Server Slam playtest of Diablo 4 is open to all and sundry. The event is set to begin at 12 pm PT on Friday, 12th May, and will wrap up at the same time on Sunday, 14th May.

The start times for the Diablo 4 Server Slam Beta are as follows:

Time ZoneStart TimeEnd Time
PDT12 pm, 12th May12 pm, 14th May
EDT3 pm, 12th May3 pm, 14th May
BST8 pm, 12th May8 pm, 14th May
CET9 pm, 12th May9 pm, 14th May

Similar to the open beta, the Server Slam is restricted to the Fractured Peaks, one of the five regions comprising Diablo 4’s open world. All five character classes will be accessible. The introductory section and initial chapter of the game take place in a frigid, hilly area and will eventually guide you to the capital city of Kyovashad. For this beta period, the level cap has been lowered to 20 from the previous 25, with enticing cosmetic rewards for Diablo 4 beta players who reach level 20 or defeat the Ashava world boss.

Having played the initial beta, we have plenty of thoughts. Some of us believe Blizzard is back in top form, others are thoroughly enjoying the skill trees, and a few who were sceptical about this new Diablo have been swayed by a solid thrashing from The Butcher.
