Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has announced an official concert tour titled Festival of Seasons that will bring the game’s beloved music to life with live orchestral performances. The immersive musical journey through the farm life simulation game’s four seasons will kick off in Los Angeles in February 2024 before travelling through various cities in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, South Korea and Thailand.
Since its release in 2016, the relaxing farming and life simulation title Stardew Valley has become a hugely popular staple in the genre thanks to its charming characters, soothing aesthetics and acclaimed soundtrack. Fans have long expressed interest in real world events and experiences. Although the game doesn’t receive regular updates, it does have a very loyal community that keep it running years after release. The upcoming concert tour looks to capture the magic through orchestral arrangements performed by chamber orchestras. ConcernedApe has partnered with the live music company SOHO Live to produce the tour as an interactive story transporting audiences through the valley’s seasons. Stardew Valley’s soundtrack ingeniously combines country, orchestral and synth tones to bring players into the game’s world. Despite no formal training, ConcernedApe relied on intuition when composing the music to instill a sense of beauty in every season.

Festival of Seasons begins on February 17th, 2024 in Los Angeles, followed by shows in major cities across the US and Canada through March. It will then head to Australia in April before concluding in the UK, South Korea and Thailand later in 2024. Specific dates for the Asian leg will be announced soon.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 13th at 10 AM local time in the US, Canada and UK. Melbourne sales start October 13th and Sydney on October 20th, both at 11 AM local time. Fans are already strategising to get tickets for what is sure to be a popular event.
Along with the recently announced cookbook, the concert tour provides another way for devoted fans to celebrate the title. It demonstrates the franchises’ growing footprint beyond the virtual farm. From crafts to cuisine to live music, the game is cultivating an experience ecosystem rooted in its tranquil small-town atmosphere.
