Over 100 media outlets worldwide make up the voting jury – including GameSpot. Winners will be determined by a blend of the jury voting and fan input.

At last year’s show, FromSoftware’s Elden Ring emerged victorious for GOTY on the strength of its enormous open world and Soulsborne gameplay formula.

God of War Ragnarok cleaned up with six total awards, the most of any title. Elden Ring took home four including Game of the Year.

Fans will have to tune in on December 7th to see which new title will join the pantheon of Game of the Year honourees. The Game Awards are also packed with world premiere trailers and announcements that provide a glimpse into the future.
