Halo Infinite’s Yappening 2 Event Lands This Month (Trailer)

The iconic first-person shooter game Halo Infinite is getting a very special in-game event this month that Grunt lovers won’t want to miss. It’s called The Yappening 2 and it’s bringing a ton of new Grunt-themed content and game modes to enjoy.

The event kicks off on April 2nd and runs all the way until April 30th, 2024. During that time, players will be able to earn all-new cosmetic items by progressing through a free 20-tier reward track called the Operation Pass.

What kinds of rewards can you unlock? Get ready for Grunt armour coatings to make your Spartan look like the lovable cannon fodder aliens.

There are cool new charms to dangle from your weapons too, like the Gruntball and Yapster.

You can even get a new shoulder pad inspired by the Grunt’s signature green breathing apparatus.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! For the first two weeks of The Yappening 2, the classic Gruntpocalypse game mode from Halo: Reach is making an explosive return in Halo Infinite.

In this intense co-op survival mode, you’ll team up with friends to take down endless waves of…you guessed it, Grunts!

Hundreds of the quirky alien warriors will attack in barrages until you’re the last ones standing.

New Corrosion Map

In the third week, a brand new Arena map called Corrosion is being added to Halo Infinite’s multiplayer playlists.

This map takes you to the abandoned remains of a mineral refinery on the ringworld Zeta Halo. You’ll need to watch your step around hazardous acid pits as you battle it out in this industrial combat zone.

Of course, an event this big means there will be plenty of premium purchasable content too.

Players can buy special weapon coatings like Glibnub’s Golden Guns to add extra flair to their favourite firearms.

New armour bundles and customisation options themed around the Grunts and their homeworld Balaho will be available in Halo Infinite’s in-game store.

Halo Infinite’s developers at 343 Industries have big plans to continue supporting the Xbox One/Xbox Series X/S/PC game with fresh content throughout 2024.
