With features spanning across cross-platform play, advanced skill training, and a revamped AI mode, this patch isn’t just a tweak, it’s a structural rework of how the game plays.
Passing: Now a Game-Changer
One of the standout changes is the renewed focus on passing ability. Previously, physical stats had too much influence on possession dynamics, but this update puts actual pass ratings back in the spotlight.
Players with high passing stats now send the ball faster, with more accurate trajectories.
That not only helps move play forward more fluidly, but it gives receivers valuable extra moments to control the ball under pressure. In contrast, low-rated passers now struggle more, their passes arrive slower, flatter, and are easier to intercept, especially when an opponent presses quickly.
This adjustment isn’t just visual. It impacts match rhythm, build-up potential, and decision-making in tight spaces, encouraging smarter squad selection and tactical variety.
AI Movements: Smarter Attack, Better Defence
AI behaviour has been refined to match the new passing mechanics. Attackers now make better off-the-ball runs, opening viable passing lanes that weren’t there before.
On the flip side, defenders respond more naturally, shifting to block paths without feeling overpowered or erratic. The result is more organic gameplay where timing, player attributes, and spacing all come together to create goal-scoring opportunities or shut them down with calculated positioning.
Cross-Platform Play is Here
Cross-play support is now fully integrated between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players.
Whether it’s friendly matches, co-op sessions, or competitive eFootball League events, players across these platforms can now compete together, or against each other seamlessly.
For those who prefer platform-exclusive matchmaking, cross-play can be toggled on or off from the in-game settings.
Detailed steps are provided within system menus for each platform.
VS AI Mode: Solo, But Not Static
A new mode in the eFootball League now allows players to face AI-controlled opponents that get tougher as you climb divisions.
These AI teams aren’t just premade; they’re built using other users’ line-ups participating in the same mode.
This setup lets solo players test their mettle in a competitive environment without needing to face real opponents.
Your own developed squad could even show up as an AI challenger in someone else’s campaign.
New Tools for Team Management and Skill Training Tweaks
Managing your squad just got easier. Players can now be released in bulk straight from the Special Player List result screen. On top of that, Backup Player Slots have been added, allowing users with maxed-out rosters (900 slots) to store an additional 500 players.
These backup players can’t be developed or used in match plans, but they’re ideal for long-term storage or future experiments.
The new Advanced Skill Training feature gives players control over the skill development path.
Rather than relying on random chance, users can now direct training toward specific Additional Skills they want players to learn. Unwanted skills can now also be deleted individually, giving managers more control over player progression and performance refinement.
Visual Clarity and Match Quality
New usability upgrades include an antenna icon that displays network connection quality during online matches.
While the display is specific to each user’s connection, a full Network Graph becomes available post-match to show fluctuations over time. There’s also a new option on mobile to view all starting XI and substitutes in one screen via the Game Plan, making team setup faster and more transparent.
