Key Highlights:

- Free update available this week on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Epic.
- Game discounted during the Steam Summer Sale (June 26) and PlayStation Sale (until July 2).
Fallen Tree Games has rolled out the first major content update for The Precinct, giving players even more reasons to return to the neon-lit streets of Averno City.
The update is free and launches later this week across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The headline addition is the new solo mode, which allows players to patrol without their AI partner, Kelly.
For the first time, players can take on the criminal underworld of Averno City entirely alone.
This change offers a more intense, self-reliant version of the core experience and is likely to appeal to those seeking greater challenge or immersion.
Complementing this is a robust set of new customisation options. Officer Nick Cordell Jr. can now be outfitted with 10 different clothing sets, 8 styles of hats, and 4 eyewear options.
Squad cars aren’t left behind either, with each of the game’s six vehicles gaining 5 new livery designs, allowing players to reflect their policing identity both on foot and behind the wheel.
The update follows a string of technical improvements and bug fixes that stabilised the game’s performance since its May launch.
Previous patches have resolved save corruption issues and gameplay hitches, laying the groundwork for this content expansion.
For those yet to pick up The Precinct, Fallen Tree Games has confirmed the title will feature in the Steam Summer Sale starting June 26th.
PlayStation players can also find the game at a reduced price until July 2nd, making this a strong entry point for newcomers interested in a law-and-order twist on the open-world formula.
With its first major update, The Precinct continues to evolve, offering more player agency and replay value as it builds on the solid foundations of its original release.
