Key Highlights:

  • GTA+ now includes Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition on iOS and Android for free, plus multiple in-game bonuses.
  • A pricing glitch briefly let non-subscribers claim the game without payment.
  • Weekly GTA Online updates offer double rewards, mission stacking, and discounts galore.

Rockstar Games continues to reshape the value proposition of GTA+, adding the mobile version of Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition to its lineup.

Available now on iOS and Google Play, the 2001 open-world classic joins the subscription package at no extra cost, giving members easy access to a fully remastered version of Liberty City wherever they go.

While non-subscribers can still test the waters with a free 30-minute trial, the full mobile edition now costs $19.99 unless tied to a GTA+ account.

A short-lived glitch earlier this week saw some users bypass the payment process entirely, downloading the game for free due to what appeared to be a billing flag error linked to GTA Plus entitlements. This was swiftly patched, and players who exploited the window report having their access revoked post-download.

The addition of GTA III reinforces Rockstar’s commitment to the subscription model, which launched in 2022 as a way to reward loyal fans with in-game currency, exclusive vehicles, and rotating bonuses tied to GTA Online.

Mr. Faber Missions and Bonus Stacking

Tied into this week’s GTA+ incentives is the continued push for players to engage with Mr. Faber Work – a series of missions involving dirty money, sabotage, and under-the-table contracts.

All players earn 2X GTA$ and RP for completing these missions, but GTA+ members see stacking rewards up to 4X, significantly accelerating payouts.

These assignments now integrate a risk-reward mechanic: as players complete jobs, their front businesses accumulate “Heat,” which eventually stalls passive income.

This system encourages players to balance their time between illegal activities and legal cover operations, like running errands for Higgins Helitours or managing car washes. For those who complete five Faber missions within the week, an additional GTA $100,000 bonus awaits as part of the active Weekly Challenge.

Time-Sensitive Multipliers and Vehicle Discounts

Additional double rewards are also active across Time TrialsG’s Cache daily drops, and the aerial combat-focused Stockpile adversary mode. G’s Cache, in particular, benefits from proximity alerts and can be enhanced via a Bureau Tech upgrade for those using the Terrorbyte.

Alongside these events, players can score 40% off a curated selection of high-performance and specialty vehicles, from the Mammoth Hydra jet and Pegassi Zorrusso to off-roaders like the Declasse Draugur and sports classics like the Vapid Ellie.

The weapons-focused Gun Van rotation also returns, offering discounts on high-impact tools including the Tactical SMG and the Railgun, with the latter exclusive to GTA+ members at 40% off.

Launched as a way to deepen player engagement across Rockstar’s titles, GTA+ has steadily evolved from a mild currency boost to a multi-platform perk engine.

The inclusion of GTA III – The Definitive Edition – a pillar of the franchise’s legacy, positions GTA+ as more than just an Online convenience. It now functions as a gateway to Rockstar’s back catalogue, beginning with mobile and potentially expanding into legacy titles on other platforms.

With GTA 6 projected to earn over $7.6 billion within two months of launch in May 2026, every move Rockstar makes to consolidate its player base matters.

GTA+ isn’t just another service, it’s becoming a central component of Rockstar’s long-term strategy to convert casual users into long-term spenders through layered access, platform integration, and nostalgic pull.

Weekly Additions and Showroom Updates

GTA+ members this week also gain access to the Bravado Buffalo EVX free of charge via the Vinewood Car Club, as well as complimentary apparel and exclusive cosmetic unlocks like the Light Blue Pearl Chameleon Pants.

In terms of showrooms and meetups:

  • Luxury Autos Showroom features the Annis Minimus and Grotti LSCM Cheetah Classic
  • Premium Deluxe Motorsport rotates in the Ocelot Lynx, Pegassi Vacca, and others
  • LS Car Meet Test Rides include the Coil Cyclone II and three other variants
  • Prize Ride Challenge rewards the Pegassi Infernus Classic for players placing top 3 over three consecutive days
  • Lucky Wheel Spin this week offers the Grotti Furia

A backend update to the Rockstar Games Launcher also quietly went live, now hiding network-identifiable data by default in PC game overlays.

As the summer heats up and Rockstar builds toward Grand Theft Auto 6’s global rollout, GTA+ continues to anchor user retention by stacking rewards, nostalgia, and exclusivity into a package that feels less optional by the week.
