Disney Speedstorm’s latest season is here, and it’s a full Zootopia-themed refresh. Season 17: Partners in Paw brings three new racers, a stack of new crew members, and a clearer split between what you can unlock for free and what sits behind the premium Golden Pass tiers.
If you play Disney Speedstorm mostly for character kits and progression, this season leans hard into that. Each new racer is built around a distinct playstyle, with skills that reward smart positioning rather than just holding boost and hoping for the best.
New Racers in Season 17
Season 17 adds three Zootopia-inspired racers:
- Judy Hopps (Defender)
Unlockable via the premium tier of Golden Pass Part 1. - Nick Wilde (Brawler)
Unlockable through the Season Tour. - Flash (Speedster)
Unlockable via the premium tier of Golden Pass Part 2.
Premium Golden Pass tiers require either a Golden Pass Credit or a purchase (listed as €9.99 / $9.99, with local pricing depending on region).
Free Tier Racers
Two additional racers are confirmed as free-tier additions across the season:
- Disgust (Inside Out) as a free-tier racer in Golden Pass Part 1
- Barbossa (Pirates of the Caribbean) as a free-tier racer in Golden Pass Part 2
New Crew Members
This season also expands crew options with multiple Zootopia-themed additions, including:
Bonnie and Stu Hopps, Finnick, Priscilla, Fru Fru, Mr. Big, Yax, Mayor Lionheart, Gideon Grey, and Gazelle.
New Season Features and Extras
Alongside the Zootopia content, Season 17 introduces a new account-wide Ranked ladder, letting you track your league standing and earn exclusive rewards like banners and avatar frames.
There’s also a Speedrun.com event called Catch the Suspect running December 19 to 27, built around Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde across 15 tracks. The challenge is hosted outside the game, with players submitting recorded runs.
