Ubisoft has released the first trailer in a three-part series for Anno 117: Pax Romana’s second DLC, The Hippodrome, giving players an early look at what will become the largest monument in Latium.

Anno 117: Pax Romana The Hippodrome trailer 1 introduces the enormous arena, which becomes available once players reach the Patrician population tier. Constructing the Hippodrome is a major undertaking, requiring vast quantities of resources across five separate stages before the landmark is finally completed.

The trailer reinforces the scale of the project, describing the Hippodrome as Latium’s greatest monument and highlighting the long construction process. It also hints at the steep investment needed, with premium granite and large amounts of timber required before the arena can welcome spectators.

Once complete, the Hippodrome becomes the stage for chariot racing, with crowds gathering to watch competitors battle for glory. The trailer closes by inviting players to create their own sponsorship banner through Anno Union for a chance to feature at the inaugural race, adding a community element ahead of the DLC’s release.

A Blooming Cities Cosmetic Pack came out for the strategy game on June 18th, which contains gardens, statues, walls and the Temple of Flora centrepiece.

Set in 117 AD, Anno 117: Pax Romana puts players in the role of a Roman governor tasked with shaping the future of the empire. Whether focusing on economic prosperity, military expansion, rebellion, or cultural unity, every decision influences how the province develops.
