A fantastical fairy-like creature with large, iridescent wings and a pink, petal-like dress stands in a serene landscape with waterfalls and cherry blossoms, against a bright blue sky with floating pink petals. The logo "Aniimo" with the text "Introducing Irisalis" is visible on the left.

Key Highlights:

  • Aniimo Version 1.1 introduces the new Legendary Aniimo Irisalis through the Windchaser’s Departure Legendary Journey.
  • Holo-Battle Interlink adds a new weekly challenge that can be tackled with a four-player team or AI teammates.
  • Egg Heist now has a tougher Chaos Mode with increased chances of rare rewards, while Aniimo has also expanded onto mobile.

Aniimo hasn’t been out for very long, but Pawprint Studio is already giving Pathfinders another reason to disappear into Idyll.

Version 1.1 is now live, bringing the game’s first new Legendary Aniimo, Irisalis, alongside a harder Egg Heist difficulty and a new weekly Holo-Battle mode.

Considering I’ve already developed a slight problem with collecting every cute creature I walk past, adding another one for me to chase feels dangerous.

A fluffy, fox-like creature with pink accents sits on a rocky outcrop surrounded by vibrant pink cherry blossoms under a soft blue sky with scattered clouds and falling petals. Several people with stylized anime appearances walk through the blooming landscape in the foreground, facing away from the viewer.

Irisalis arrives as part of the new Legendary Journey: Windchaser’s Departure, with the event available once players reach Student I.

Rather than simply finding Irisalis wandering around Idyll and throwing everything in your inventory at it until something works, there’s a little more involved.

Players can collect Iris Petals through a new weekly-limited source before spending them to craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis.

Crafting it unlocks the Rift Space where Irisalis can be found and befriended, while successfully doing so also unlocks its exclusive Transmog ability.

There’s another reward for anyone willing to keep collecting petals.

During the Windchaser’s Departure season, players who have already crafted the Irisalis Aniipod can work towards the Legendary Aniipod: Windchaser’s Departure.

That one guarantees a successful capture, Perfect Innate Potential and a Sparkling Form, alongside exclusive seasonal perks.

So yes, there is an even shinier version to collect.

A whimsical, vibrant landscape with towering mushroom-like flora, fluffy white grass, and a clear blue sky with streaks of light. Three figures are exploring the surreal environment, with one looking towards a small, winged creature flying in the distance.

Apparently my Aniimo problem is only going to get worse.

Version 1.1 isn’t entirely about adding another creature to the collection, though.

Holo-Battle Interlink introduces a new weekly combat activity available after reaching Trailblazer I, recreating encounters against high-threat Alpha Aniimo.

Each weekly cycle contains three different routes with their own Alpha encounters and environmental mechanics.

Players can adjust their Aniimo lineup and select buffs before heading into battle, with the team leader choosing those buffs when playing in four-player co-op.

If you’d rather avoid relying on three other humans to behave themselves, AI teammates are also supported.

Routes can be replayed freely, with the game recording the highest Star Rank earned on each one.

Those scores are then combined across all three routes to unlock milestone rewards, while helping other Pathfinders improve their scores can earn separate Support Rewards.

Both reward systems reset weekly.

Operation: Egg Heist has also become considerably less friendly.

The new Chaos Mode sits at the top of Egg Heist’s difficulty options and unlocks after reaching Tier IV, or Elite Egg Seeker.

Entering requires a Chaos Ticket, but the extra danger comes with higher drop rates for Prismana Aniimo Eggs and Prismatic Collectibles, alongside opportunities to find ultra-rare Secret Collectibles.

There is, naturally, a catch.

Pawprint describes Chaos Mode as having strict escape conditions and recommends tackling it as a team.

So we’re apparently risking everything for shiny eggs now.

Fair enough.

The update arrives alongside Aniimo’s expansion onto mobile, with the game launching globally on iOS and Android on September 23 after its earlier PC and console release.

Existing players don’t have to abandon everything they’ve collected just to play somewhere else either.

Progress is shared between PC, console and mobile when using the same account on the same server, including adventure progress, resources and party lineups.

Version 1.1 also includes additional events, quality-of-life changes and performance fixes, making this considerably more than simply dropping Irisalis into the world and calling it a day.

For a game that only arrived earlier this month, Pawprint Studio isn’t exactly easing into its post-launch plans.

And with a Legendary Aniimo to chase, weekly battles to clear and an even harder Egg Heist waiting, Pathfinders already have considerably more reasons to keep wandering around Idyll.

Personally, I was already struggling to walk past an Aniimo without deciding I needed it.

Adding a Sparkling Irisalis probably isn’t going to help.
