Assassin’s Creed Movie Set For May 2015

A hooded figure in a dark, detailed costume stands against a backdrop of chaos, promoting "Assassin's Creed: The Movie" with a "Coming Soon" stamp.

An Assassin’s Creed movie is in the works and has been set a release date of 22nd May 2015 by 20th Century Fox. The movie will start production at New Regency and it’ll have Inglorious Basterds and Prometheus star Michael Fassbender cast in the film’s main role.

The British writer (Michael Lesslie) has the job of writing the upcoming film script. As all gamers would have guessed, the video game franchise that is Assassin’s Creed has been so successful, it was only a matter of time before a movie was set to be made.

Now, that possibility has become a reality, and now we can all look forward to a film that is sure to be as big of a hit as the gaming series. That doesn’t always go to plan though, as the Alone in The Dark (2005) and Hitman movie respectively had some poor performances at the box office.

We’ll have to wait and see if the upcoming movie is as good as the games come May 2015. What do you think of the idea? Will the Assassin’s Creed move to the big screen be a success? Let us know your thought by using the comments box designated below.
