The Xbox One, What You Need To Know

Microsoft Corporation has now made it public on the releases of the next-gen Xbox One games console. There was a special Live Event today showcasing the release of the new gaming console which was held on Tuesday 21st May, 2013 at the company’s headquarter Redmond Wash.

Xbox 360 has been in the market for the last eight years. The new Xbox One entertainment console comes second to none as it’s the only one of it’s kind that will take over as the replacement of the cable satellite receiver. It features voice commands that allows the user to change in between channels, switch into game mode and browse over the Internet. Furthermore, it even gets to know the user even better as he/she continues using it.

Below is where we’ve listed the series of events that followed the announcement of the Xbox One entertainment console.

The Official Announcement

Microsoft’s president of the entertainment business, (Don Mattrick) began by making a remarkable statement about the new release of the Xbox One games console. He referred to it as “an all in one entertainment system” that the company has been tirelessly working on for the past four or so years.

His statement was then followed by a voice command demonstration of the Xbox One features, including the ability to switch between music, Internet browsing, watching live TV and movies and also it’s ability to run series of simultaneous application.

Other executives praised Xbox One as a new product that is going to take place of the set box because it made it easier for the users to change from one channel to another by just a simple voice command.

Audience in attendance were made to believe this through a demonstration by senior vice president Yusuf Mehdi who by way of an example commanded the console ” what’s on HBO” which instantly brought a guide for HBO channel on display. He ended his colorful demonstration by a remarkable slogan, “No more memorizing channels or hunting for the remote control”.

Mehdi preferred the console’s TV interface to Nintendo’s Wii U as this later required the user to press buttons to change the TV input source. He said that this was a direct opposite of the console that made things easier by simply using your voice command to change channels or switch into game mode.

The chief production officer of interactive entertainment business Marc Whitten crowned it as a ” a lag free instant experience” that allows user to switch to game like it’s a channel flip. Microsoft also used the same event to unleash the latest version of its camera based Kinect system which has better motion picture and just like console uses voice command.

The original Xbox was launched for the first time way back in the year 2001. This was later upgraded to the HD version Xbox 360 in 2005. The Xbox gaming series have always featured popular games such as Gears of War, Forza, and Halo. Of late other features other than gaming such as camera Kinect system and the streaming media app have been added to improve it. However, the latest version has beat all through introduction of Xbox One entertainment console that comes with a voice command.
