Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition may be about to get a PlayStation Vita release in the near future.

The game’s studio publishers (Devolver Digital) tweeted an image of the title running on a PS Vita with the following text “Here’s Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition running on a PlayStation Vita. That is all.”

Developed by General Arcade, the Megaton Edition is an enhanced version of the classic first-person shooter game Duke Nukem 3D.

The title features the original game along with additional content and enhancements. It includes the base game’s iconic single-player campaign, where players assume the role of Duke Nukem, a wise-cracking and tough-as-nails action hero. The objective is to save Earth from invading aliens by battling through a variety of levels and using an arsenal of weapons.

In addition to the original game, it also includes three expansion packs: Duke Caribbean: Life’s a Beach, Duke: Nuclear Winter, and Duke It Out in D.C. These expansions provide new levels, enemies, and humorous twists to the gameplay.

The Megaton Edition offers improved graphics, compatibility with modern operating systems, and multiplayer capabilities. Players can engage in both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, either locally or online, to challenge their friends or other players worldwide.

The contents included in the Megaton Edition are:

  • Duke Carribean: Life’s a Beach
  • Duke: Nuclear Winter
  • Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition
  • Duke It Out In D.C.
  • Duke Nukem 3D (Classic)

The game is currently only available for MAC, PC and Steam. An official announcement is as of yet, to be made by Devolver, but one should be made within the next week or so ahead. You can check out the picture that was posted below:
