Fans of the Star Wars Jedi video game series can finally rejoice as EA has released the first story trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which confirms the long awaited return of popular characters such as Merrin and Greez Dritus.

The trailer, which features a darker tone, follows Cal Kestis as he struggles to survive against the Empire’s rule. Set five years after the first game, Cal is now older and more experienced, and he won’t be the only Force user in the galaxy. The trailer also shows Merrin, who seems to be joining forces with Cal and his crew.

In addition to the story, the trailer also includes some gameplay footage, which suggests that players will be able to execute unique moves alongside their companions.

Despite the original release date being set for last week, the game’s release has been postponed until April 28th. However, game director Stig Asmussen has revealed that if the game is successful, it could pave the way for a third installment in the series.

It’s clear that fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and the return of Merrin and Greez Dritus is sure to heighten excitement for the game’s debut.
