Bend Studio, the creative minds behind Days Gone, are thrilled to give a sneak peek of their major PS5 project. Days Gone, an open-world action-adventure game, hit the shelves in 2019 for PS4 and made its way to PC in 2021. Despite a lukewarm reception from critics, the game has enjoyed immense popularity among players, boasting impressive user scores on Metacritic for both PS4 and PC.

Fan-Powered Petitions: Sequel or Not?

Days Gone has proven its commercial mettle, selling over 8 million copies on PS4 alone, and achieving a million-plus sales on Steam. Yet, even with robust sales, Sony chose not to greenlight a sequel to Days Gone, prompting fans to rally with a petition that has now garnered over 200,000 signatures. Bend Studio might not be cooking up a Days Gone sequel, but they’re eagerly preparing to unveil their latest creation.

A recent tweet from Bend Studio celebrates three decades of game development, expressing gratitude for their supporters from the days of Syphon Filter to Days Gone. The tweet concludes with a tantalising tease about their upcoming game.

A Glimpse into Bend Studio’s Upcoming Title

With four years elapsed since Days Gone debuted, speculation is rife about Bend Studio’s next big thing. A 2021 rumour suggested that an Uncharted spin-off could have been in the pipeline at Bend Studio before it got axed. Having developed Uncharted: Golden Abyss for PS Vita in 2011, Bend Studio certainly had the expertise to handle the franchise, but any plans for a related game seemingly got nixed as they later discussed their future project.
