Feral Interactive confirmed that Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal would launch for Nintendo Switch on 25 January 2024, bringing Agent 47’s enhanced 2006 stealth game to Nintendo’s hybrid console.
The Switch version was priced at £19.99 in the UK, with pre-orders receiving a discount of at least 15%. Its arrival followed the iOS and Android versions of Reprisal, which had launched on 30 November 2023.
GLN previously covered the announcement of Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal in October 2023, when Feral Interactive first revealed plans to bring the updated version to mobile devices and Nintendo Switch.
What the Nintendo Switch Version Added
Feral Interactive adapted Blood Money for Nintendo Switch with both classic and modern control layouts. The Switch version also introduced gyro aiming, giving players an additional aiming option when controlling Agent 47.
Reprisal retained the quality-of-life additions introduced with the mobile release. These included Instinct Mode, a new minimap and alerts that warn players when Agent 47 is trespassing or attracting suspicion. The features were inspired by mechanics found in later Hitman games.
The underlying campaign remained the one originally released as Hitman: Blood Money in 2006. Players travel between sandbox locations to assassinate targets using disguises, environmental opportunities and different approaches to completing each contract.
What Happened After the Release-Date Announcement
Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal launched as scheduled on 25 January 2024 through the Nintendo eShop. Feral Interactive retained the announced £19.99 UK price at launch.
The Nintendo Switch release requires approximately 4.5 GB of storage and supports handheld, tabletop and TV modes. It is a single-player game with a PEGI 18 rating.
Its arrival also gave Blood Money a notable place in Nintendo history. The original 2006 release appeared on PlayStation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360 and PC, but not Nintendo hardware. Reprisal therefore brought the game to a Nintendo console for the first time.
