Fallout 76 Gets Patched Up

The wildly popular online action game Fallout 76 received a quick fix from its developers at Bethesda. Just days after rolling out a big content update called America’s Playground, they realised some irritating bugs had crept in. Rather than making players wait, Bethesda worked swiftly to resolve the issues.

On 2nd April, they announced a hotfix had been deployed to tackle a few specific problems. For those using the Microsoft Store version, there was an issue where repeatable score challenges didn’t appear correctly.

This hotfix patched that right up. It also sorted out some enemies that were spawning in the wrong places or getting stuck on their walk routes during certain events and missions.

Players had mixed feelings about the hotfix. Some were grateful Bethesda listened and acted quickly.

However, others felt there were still frustrating glitches that needed attention, like main quests breaking for groups or the game constantly crashing during lengthy expeditions.

While updates will surely keep coming, it’s encouraging to see Bethesda committed to providing a smooth experience in Fallout 76.

With rumours of Fallout 5 still years away, keeping this online world engaging is crucial until the next major release. There is an unofficial Falllout London mod that is out near the end of this month on April 23rd to look forward to though.

Atlantic City Arrives in Fallout 76

In another meaty update, Fallout 76 has opened the doors to a new adventure in post-apocalyptic Atlantic City.

Once a glamorous holiday destination, the city has been overrun by formidable plant creatures dubbed “The Overgrown.”

Players are tasked with lending a helping hand to Mayor Tim, blasting these threats to clear the area.

But that’s not all! A deadly plot is also unfolding, with a brand new quest chain taking players on an explosive journey across multiple missions.

There are even fresh side stories allowing you to meet new characters and explore more of this irradiated world.

Back in the game’s core Appalachia region, you’ll get roped into setting up a fresh nightclub for the notorious Russo crime family.

Though hoping for a quieter life after Atlantic City, it seems the Russos just can’t avoid danger. As players dig deeper, they’ll uncover sinister skeletons threatening to burst from the family’s closet.

The update also shakes up Fallout 76’s Seasons, doing away with scoreboards. Now you’ll see all seasonal rewards upfront, earning 25 tickets each rank to cash in for the loot you want across multiple reward pages. Just be sure to spend them before the season ends, as they don’t carry over!

Even those without the premium Fallout 1st membership can get in on the action, purchasing a special Season Pass using in-game currency.

With new regions to explore, foes to conquer, and mysteries to unravel, there’s plenty to keep veteran Wasteland wanderers and newcomers alike engaged.
