    • To invite other players, open the game session action card and select Share Link. Then, scan the QR code with your mobile device to share the link.
    • This feature is available only for open sessions that anyone can join.
    • This feature will gradually be rolled out to all players by July 24.
  • Voice Command now supports the ability to open Game Help action cards by saying “Show Game Help”.
    • Currently, Voice Command (Preview) is available only in English for players with accounts for PlayStation Network in the US and UK.
  • We’ve improved system software performance and stability.
  • We’ve updated the device software of some DualSense wireless controllers to improve stability.
  • We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.

One of the most notable additions in this update is the new ‘Share Link’ feature. This allows players to invite others to their gaming sessions more easily by generating a unique URL.

To use this feature, players can select the “Share Link” option on a game’s action card, which will display a QR code.

Scanning this code with a mobile device allows for quick and easy sharing of the session link.

It’s worth noting that this feature is currently limited to open sessions that anyone can join, and Sony says it will be gradually rolled out to all players by 24th July.

Voice Command functionality has also received an upgrade in this update. PS5 users can now open Game Help action cards by simply saying “Show Game Help”.

This feature adds to the growing list of voice-activated controls on the console, making it easier for players to access helpful information without interrupting their gameplay.

However, it’s important to note that the Voice Command feature is still in preview and is currently only available in English for PlayStation Network account holders in the United States and United Kingdom.

As with most system updates, this patch also focuses on improving overall performance and stability.

Sony has made enhancements to the system software and updated the device software for some DualSense wireless controllers to improve stability.

These tweaks should result in a smoother, more reliable gaming experience for PlayStation 5 users.

Additionally, the update brings improvements to on-screen messages and usability across various menus, though specific details on these changes weren’t provided in the patch notes.

While this update doesn’t introduce any major overhauls to the PS5’s functionality, the new features and improvements demonstrate Sony’s commitment to refining the user experience.

The Share Link feature in particular, shows a focus on making social gaming more accessible, allowing players to quickly jump into sessions with friends or join community events with ease.

As 2024 progresses, PS5 owners can likely expect more updates that continue to enhance and expand the console’s capabilities.

For now, users are encouraged to download and install the latest update to take advantage of these new features and improvements.

Remember to keep your console connected to the internet to receive the latest updates automatically, ensuring you always have access to the most recent features and performance enhancements.
