Deephaul Ravine: A New Era of PvP Battlegrounds

World of Warcraft fans eagerly anticipating the release of The War Within expansion have been treated to a wealth of new information about the upcoming content. One of the most exciting revelations is the introduction of Deephaul Ravine, a brand new PvP battleground set in The Ringing Deeps.

Deephaul Ravine is a 10v10 battleground (8v8 in Battleground Blitz) that will be available to players level 71 and above.

The objective of the battleground is a hybrid of payload and capture-the-flag mechanics, with two teams representing the Unbound and the Machine Speakers vying for control of the quarry.

Players can earn points by controlling one of the two mine carts on the map or by capturing the Deephaul Crystal from the centre and returning it to their base. The first team to reach 1500 points emerges victorious.

One of the unique features of Deephaul Ravine is the presence of mine cart vehicles that allow players to quickly traverse the battlefield. These vehicles open up new strategic possibilities, enabling teams to rapidly reposition their forces, set up ambushes, and engage in swift skirmishes.

The map’s extreme topography also favours classes with knockback abilities, as they can use the high ground to their advantage and potentially end fights with fall damage.

The addition of Deephaul Ravine is particularly significant as it marks the first new PvP battleground in World of Warcraft since the release of Seething Shore in 2018. PvP enthusiasts have been craving fresh content, and the arrival of this new map has generated considerable excitement within the community.
