Key Highlights:

  • The new Title Update 1.5.1 delivers critical bug fixes across all platforms.
  • PS5 Pro users benefit from upgraded PSSR technology.

Massive Entertainment has released the much-anticipated Title Update 1.5.1 for Star Wars Outlaws on February 6th 2025.

The update, available on PC, PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S is designed to bring the game up to speed with the latest hardware advancements while addressing several nagging issues that have affected gameplay.

Since its launch five months ago, Star Wars Outlaws—an action-adventure title set within the wildly popular Star Wars universe and featuring original hero Kay Vess, has not lived up to the high expectations of both critics and players.

Following a lukewarm reception at launch, Creative Director Drew Rechner assured fans that the development team would focus on three key areas for improvement, as evidenced by five major updates and numerous smaller patches to date. This latest update is the most comprehensive yet.

Update 1.5.1 Patch Notes

Streaming:

  • Fixed a crashing issue on streaming platforms when travelling to Renpalli Station

PC:

  • Added support for NVIDIA series 50 GPUs

PS5:

  • PSSR has been updated to the latest version for PS5 Pro users

All platforms:

  • Fixed an issue where Kay could not dismount the speeder when on a steep incline
  • Fixed an issue where audio from overhead ships would be louder than expected

On PC, the update introduces support for the newly launched Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards.

Players will now enjoy DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, a technology that uses artificial intelligence to generate up to three frames per traditionally rendered frame, substantially boosting FPS.

DLSS 4 further refines performance with faster single Frame Generation and reduced memory usage for both RTX 50 and 40 Series cards.

Additionally, new transformer AI models for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and DLAA have been integrated, enhancing the stability, lighting, and detail in motion across all GeForce RTX GPUs.

These advancements in AI-driven upscaling and reconstruction not only reduce visual artifacts but also ensure a more consistent frame rate during graphically demanding sequences.

For PlayStation users, particularly those with the PS5 Pro, the update brings support for the latest version of PSSR, the AI-based upscaling technology designed to improve visual clarity and performance.

While players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will see fewer changes in this regard, the update still ensures a more consistent and polished gaming experience.

Upgraded PSSR on PS5 Pro means that enhanced textures and smoother transitions are now available, making the gameplay experience more visually striking and responsive on next-gen hardware.

Bug fixes are another major focus of Title Update 1.5.1. The patch resolves a streaming service-specific issue that caused crashes when travelling to Renpalli Station, fixes an anomaly where audio from overhead ships was excessively loud, and corrects a glitch that prevented Kay from dismounting her speeder on steep inclines.

These bug fixes address some of the most frequently reported issues since launch, reflecting Massive Entertainment’s commitment to improving game stability and player satisfaction with regular, substantial patches.

The update file sizes are as follows:

  • PlayStation 5/PS5 Pro: 1.93 GB (version 01.005.001 / 7641097.TU5)
  • Xbox Series X/S: 3.65 GB (version 1.0.5.1 / 7641097.TU5)
  • PC (Ubisoft Connect/Steam): 3.30 GB (version 1.0.5.1 / 7711640.TU5)
