Following the release of its Overture DLC, Lies of P has officially crossed 3 million units sold worldwide, marking a major commercial milestone for Round8 Studio and publisher Neowiz.
In recognition of this achievement, Neowiz is offering generous incentives to the development team that range from cash bonuses and extended holidays/vacations to gifting each staff member a Nintendo Switch 2.
As reported by The Elec and corroborated by VGC, developers will receive an additional two weeks of paid leave on top of South Korea’s legally mandated 15 days.
They will also be awarded 10 million KRW (approximately $7,300 USD) and a brand-new Nintendo Switch 2 console.
The move highlights Neowiz’s appreciation of Round8 Studio’s efforts and comes amid the game’s renewed popularity.
Lies of P: Overture surprise launched during Summer Game Fest 2025 in an epic shadow drop.
It introduces significant content expansions, including new monsters, weapons, and a time-travel-driven storyline.
It also implements a boss rush mode and new difficulty settings to broaden accessibility.
While some hardcore fans were sceptical about the toned-down challenge, the changes have made the Soulslike title more approachable for newcomers.
Despite ongoing support for Lies of P, Round8 Studio is already looking ahead.
A sequel is currently in the works, and according to recent rumours, it could launch as early as 2026. In parallel, the studio is developing a new survival horror IP set in a sci-fi world, intended for both PC and console platforms.
No title or release window has been announced, but expectations are high given the team’s proven track record.
