A newly released Fortnite skin has already made history, with Epic Games confirming that the Kim Kardashian cosmetic set has become one of the most-used skins of all time in less than a week.
According to Epic’s latest Fortnite statistics, players have already completed more than 37 million matches using Kim Kardashian cosmetics. That figure has been enough to push the skin into Fortnite’s Top 100 most-used outfits ever, despite the game featuring well over 1,000 available skins.
Epic Games shared the milestone on social media as part of its annual Fortnite wrap-up, revealing just how quickly the crossover took off. Data tracked by Fortnite.gg also shows the Kim Kardashian outfit currently sitting as the most popular skin of Chapter 7 Season 1, an unusually fast rise for a brand-new cosmetic.
The collaboration initially sparked debate among players, with some questioning how the social media icon fit into Fortnite’s ever-growing crossover roster. However, usage data suggests that player interest has outweighed any early scepticism.
Kim Kardashian addressed the collaboration in an interview with Elle, explaining that she was already familiar with Fortnite through family members who play the game. While admitting she is not particularly skilled, she described Fortnite as “iconic” and said she was drawn to the fashion side of the collaboration.
I have to say that the biggest reason that her skin is being used, is because of her thin hitbox in-game. This offers a competitive advantage, and we all know that players love to have an edge in battle royale matches.
The Kim Kardashian outfit is part of Fortnite’s Icon Series and was added to the game with Update v39.10 on December 14, 2025.
Players can purchase:
- Kim Kardashian Outfit for 1,500 V-Bucks
- Kim Kardashian Bundle for 3,000 V-Bucks
The base outfit allows players to toggle Kim’s jacket on or off, while the more premium Iconic Kim Kardashian version offers deeper customisation, including selectable outfit colours, hairstyles and optional sunglasses. Customisable cosmetics continue to be a major factor in player engagement, and this flexibility appears to have played a role in the skin’s rapid popularity.
The Kim Kardashian set is scheduled to leave the Fortnite Item Shop on December 28 (check in-game for the exact timing in your region), giving players a limited window to pick it up.
Epic Games’ wider stats highlight that high-profile collaborations remain a major driver of Fortnite engagement. Alongside Kim Kardashian’s success, Epic revealed that Sabrina Carpenter was another standout crossover in 2025, with nearly seven million completed squad matches featuring her skin.
Meanwhile, the K-Pop Demon Hunters event helped power a revamped Horde Rush mode, where players collectively defeated nearly 100 billion enemies during October.
The continued success of these crossovers suggests Fortnite’s celebrity and brand partnerships are not slowing player interest. Instead, Epic appears to be using them as a way to attract new audiences while keeping long-time players engaged.
With Kim Kardashian’s skin already cemented as one of Fortnite’s most-used cosmetics ever, it’s clear that even after years of crossovers, Epic Games still knows how to make a new outfit feel like an event.
