Halloween: The Game Reveals East Haddonfield as Fourth Launch Map

Ahead of its September 8 launch, Halloween: The Game has revealed East Haddonfield as the fourth and final map in its launch line-up.

IllFonic’s latest map trailer moves away from the suburban streets shown in Haddonfield Heights, Orange Grove Estates and Haddonfield Town Center. East Haddonfield is a rural agricultural district built around farmland, industrial buildings and roadside businesses on the outskirts of town.

The map represents Michael Myers’ first stop after escaping Smith’s Grove Sanitarium. Its major landmarks include Midwest Feed Company, The Rabbit in Red Lounge and Phelps Garage, with the Castle Hill Rooks biker gang also tied to the area.

IllFonic describes East Haddonfield as less orderly than the residential parts of Haddonfield. The area mixes open farmland with porches, machinery, dirt parking areas and tightly packed structures, creating less predictable routes between locations. The official map breakdown confirms East Haddonfield as one of four launch environments and details its rural layout, landmarks and connection to Michael’s journey home.

That layout is designed to affect how players evade Michael. Open spaces can expose Heroes for longer periods, while uneven fences, buildings and alternative routes provide opportunities to break sightlines and move through the map without following obvious streets or pathways.

I think East Haddonfield may end up being the most mechanically distinct of the four launch maps because its larger exposed areas should make movement decisions more important than simply slipping between houses and back gardens.

The reveal also gives GLN a much clearer picture of the full launch map roster than when Haddonfield Heights was first revealed last December. At the time, IllFonic had only confirmed the first playable location. The launch version now includes Haddonfield Heights, Orange Grove Estates, Haddonfield Town Center and East Haddonfield.

Each area is built around a different part of Haddonfield. Haddonfield Heights contains familiar residential locations associated with the original film, while Orange Grove Estates includes the Doyle and Wallace residences. Haddonfield Town Center shifts towards shops, businesses and public spaces before East Haddonfield pushes the setting further into farmland and industrial outskirts.

The Rabbit in Red Lounge and Phelps Garage also deepen the map’s connection to the original 1978 film. Both names are associated with Michael’s journey back towards Haddonfield after his escape, allowing IllFonic to turn locations referenced around that journey into playable spaces rather than simply recreating the better-known suburban houses.

Halloween: The Game uses a 1v4 multiplayer structure, with one player controlling Michael Myers while up to four Heroes attempt to protect Haddonfield’s residents, alert the authorities and survive. The game also includes a standalone single-player story following the events of “The Night He Came Home”.

Digital Deluxe Edition owners will not have to wait until September 8 to enter the four maps. Early access begins on September 4 at 9:00 AM PT, while the standard digital version follows four days later. The Deluxe Edition includes the Inmate Michael Myers skin, two additional civilians, Richard and Alexis, early access to a Laurie Strode cosmetic and a digital comic.

Physical PS5 and Xbox Series X editions will arrive later on October 6. IllFonic has confirmed both Standard and limited Collector’s Editions, with the game included on the disc rather than relying on a download code.

East Haddonfield therefore completes IllFonic’s launch version of the town just days before Digital Deluxe players get their first opportunity to explore all four locations.
