Now live, the Special Offers section has another sizeable PC sale to watch, with GOG cutting the prices of more than 8,600 DRM-free games as part of its 2026 Autumn Sale.
The promotion runs until 7 October at 7am UTC, which means UK players have until 8am BST that morning to make any final purchases.
GOG’s advertised highlights cover everything from recent RPGs to considerably older PC favourites:

Those are only a small part of the sale. The live storefront also includes Alan Wake at 90% off, Kingdom Come: Deliverance at 80% off, Kerbal Space Program at 75% off and both Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered at 70% off.
Some particularly aggressive discounts appear further down the catalogue. Jagged Alliance 3 and The Saboteur are 90% off, while The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is reduced by 75%.
One deal that caught my attention is Outward Definitive Edition at 95% off. GOG also currently lists Maneater Apex Edition with a 97% reduction, showing that some individual products go beyond the 90% headline discount being used to promote the wider sale.
The sale is also heavily tied into GOG’s Preservation Program rather than focusing entirely on newer releases.
Titles displayed in the preserved-games section include Fallout, Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, Resident Evil 0, the Resident Evil Classic Bundle, Tomb Raider GOTY, SWAT 4: Gold Edition, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY Edition and Star Wars Battlefront from 2004.
These are not simply games GOG happens to sell. Preservation Program titles carry GOG’s commitment to test, improve and maintain their compatibility with modern systems, while still being distributed without DRM.
That distinction has become increasingly important as older PC games become harder to run through their original releases.
Resident Evil is particularly well represented in this sale. Alongside Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, which completed the original trilogy on GOG, the storefront currently lists Resident Evil 0 at 75% off and the five-game Resident Evil Classic Bundle at 65% off.
For players buying primarily through GOG because of its DRM-free approach, purchases can be downloaded using standalone offline installers rather than requiring the GOG Galaxy client to remain installed or an internet connection to approve the game every time it launches.
GLN saw the same advantage when Amazon Prime offered nine games through GOG earlier this year: once redeemed, those games became part of the player’s GOG library and could be backed up through offline installers rather than remaining dependent on Amazon’s subscription service.
I think that is what makes the Autumn Sale a little different from simply comparing percentages with Steam or Epic. A cheaper game is obviously welcome, but having a DRM-free installer that can be stored independently gives the purchase a degree of control that most modern PC storefronts do not provide.
There is plenty of time to dig through the catalogue, but not indefinitely. The GOG Autumn Sale finishes at 8am BST on Wednesday, 7 October, after which the seasonal discounts are scheduled to end.
