Ubisoft has revealed the full details of Anno 117: Pax Romana Patch 3.0, arriving on November 5, 2026, alongside the Dawn of the Delta expansion.
The update introduces Stamp Mode, expanded Statistics screens, gameplay balancing changes and numerous bug fixes. It also targets performance problems in large cities and reduces the game’s installation size on consoles.
According to the official patch notes published (today) November 2, Patch 3.0 will become available at 10am GMT (11am CET) on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Stamp Mode and New Management Features
One of the biggest additions is Stamp Mode, which allows players to save residential districts and production layouts for reuse elsewhere.
Using the existing Copy tool, governors can select an area, save it as a stamp and organise their designs into named folders. The layouts can then be accessed through the construction menu when building new settlements.
PC players can also share their saved stamp files with other players, making it possible to exchange city designs without recreating each building manually.
The feature returns in an updated form from Anno 1800 and should prove particularly useful for players managing multiple settlements.
Ubisoft has also expanded the Statistics screen with two new tabs.
- Storage: Displays stored goods, stock changes over time and active or passive trading activity across individual or multiple islands.
- Items: Provides an overview of owned and undiscovered specialists, their locations and the methods used to obtain them.
The specialist improvements mean players can locate useful characters across their empire and identify where to acquire those they have not yet unlocked.
Additional quality-of-life changes include the ability to hide individual quests, automatically accept festivals and position the photo-mode camera closer to buildings.
The Hall of Fame is also receiving an Aegyptus category containing three tiers of rewards, including Egyptian-themed decorations and character customisation items. These rewards will be available to all players, even without purchasing Dawn of the Delta.
Gameplay Balancing and Performance Improvements
Patch 3.0 changes the default goods consumption difficulty for newly created games, making resource management more demanding.
Ubisoft has increased starting money to compensate for the tougher early game, while introducing a higher difficulty option with goods consumption approximately 75% above normal.
Importantly, existing save files will not automatically adopt the new consumption settings. Players can still change the difficulty manually.
Festival balancing is also changing. The cost of end-game celebrations will fall from 50,000 to 25,000 coins, while the quantities of goods required will better reflect their individual value.
On PC, Ubisoft has worked to reduce frame rate drops and stuttering when moving the camera across large, developed cities. The automatic graphics configuration will also enable FSR 3 frame generation by default on NVIDIA RTX 30-series graphics cards.
Other fixes address crashes, multiplayer desynchronisation, trade route issues and the console autosave limit, which previously forced some players to delete saves manually.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners should also benefit from smaller overall game installations following the update. However, Ubisoft warns that Patch 3.0 itself may require a larger download, particularly on Xbox, as part of the changes needed to reduce future update sizes.
I think the Stamp Mode and Statistics improvements are the most meaningful additions here. Rather than simply adding more content, Ubisoft is addressing the repetitive work involved in managing large settlements, which becomes increasingly important as players expand into additional provinces.
Patch 3.0 arrives alongside Dawn of the Delta, which introduces the new Aegyptus province. The expansion includes seasonal flooding, new production systems and the restoration of ancient pyramids, as previously detailed in our Anno 117 pyramids coverage.
The update’s general improvements are separate from the expansion’s additional content, so players do not need to purchase Dawn of the Delta to benefit from the new quality-of-life features and fixes.
