Shiro Games have announced that Evoland is now available via Steam on it’s official website. The action/adventure video game that allows players to unlock graphics upgrades, gameplay systems and brand new technology as you play through the game.
Evoland uses full state of the art 3D graphics to deliver a visually splendid game. On the other side of things, the gameplay is much like cult classic Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda. The fighting sequences will keep you on your toes for much of the game.
One of the defining features of Evoland is its gameplay evolution system. As players progress through the game, they unlock new technologies, visual styles, sound effects, and gameplay mechanics. This gradual evolution allows players to experience the different eras of video games, from the monochrome era to full 3D graphics and beyond.
In terms of story, the RPG follows the story of a young hero on a quest to save the world. As players explore the game world, they uncover the rich lore and unravel the mysteries behind the evolving gameplay and world. The narrative elements in the game help to drive the player’s progression and provide context for the changing game mechanics.
There’s plenty of in-game bosses to defeat along the way which should also keep you thoroughly entertained. As well as Steam, the title will be making it’s way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the future at some point too.
