PS4 Won’t Block DRM Or Require Always Online Connection

PS4 DRM

The new Sony PlayStation 4 will not be block all second-hand video games or require an always-online connection. Sony worldwide boss Shuhei Yoshida made this public to everyone back in February of this year straight after the official PS4 reveal.

Each individual publisher will be left with the choice on whether to include or exclude the DRM on used games. Many gaming news websites have been posting rumours and gossip on whether the next-gen console would have to have a connection that was always online and if it blocked pre-owned titles.

DRM was even trending on social networking site Twitter for a large portion of the day just last week too. Now though, all of the discussions and rumours can now be put to bed, as the facts are out in the open.
