Wales and Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale has been revealed as the star to shine along Lionel Messi for the official FIFA 14 UK cover. The announcement by EA Sports didn’t quite go to plan though.
A image was deliberately leaked early just hours before the planned 5 pm reveal. The box-art that will be heading your way this fall can been seen above in the featured image.
The man himself decided to take to Twitter to express his delight at being the main man to feature on the United Kingdom cover.
Just recently in late June, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez was confirmed as the North American cover star for the game. The Mexican Manchester United star was thrilled and honoured to grace the cover and was the ideal pick given he’s the most high-profile player from the region.
Electronic Arts Sports also decided to post a video diary that showcases Gareth Bale’s free-kick technique, techniques and likeness through capturing for his very own in-game avatar.
The game is out on all major current-gen platforms on September 24th in North America and across the whole of Europe on the 27th. The next-gen versions will also be out on due course.
