The PlayStation Vita has received a significant price drop in North America and Europe.

Sony’s Jim Ryan made the announcement and said that this offer will start today with the consoles being priced at $199/€199. He also revealed that memory card prices are set to drop quite rapidly as well.
The brand new price set, is down from the original launch price of $249.99 for the Wi-Fi model and $299.99 for the 3G/Wi-Fi model, and this offer also applies to all PS Vita systems that are available at retail, which includes the limited edition PS Vita The Walking Dead bundle which is launching this week.
