Activision has officially announced that the upcoming Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will introduce fresh features and a new Gulag to the highly-acclaimed Battle Royale mode. In addition, the new season will revamp the renowned Resurgence mode to incorporate the latest additions to the game.
When the new season arrives next week, players will encounter a new Gulag in the Al Mazrah map. The developers broke the news via their latest blog post. The new Gulag, named the Blacksite, is a distinct location from the Black Site super stronghold found in Battle Royale.
The Blacksite Gulag is a training facility designed for operators to hone their combat skills, featuring various indoor and outdoor pathways. This Gulag will also be featured as a multiplayer map in Gunfight mode in Modern Warfare 2. Additionally, Activision announced new features for the game, including Massive Resurgence, in the recent blog post alongside the Blacksite Gulag reveal.
Numerous New Features
Players can experience the fast-paced Massive Resurgence mode on Al Mazrah, featuring an increased player count of 150 and the returning Redeploy Drones feature. These drones will allow players to move across the map more efficiently. Additionally, two new features, the Tempered Plate Carrier and UAV Tower, will be available in all Battle Royale modes at the start of Season 3. The Tempered Plate Carrier enables players to boost their armour, while the UAV Tower grants them intel about enemy locations.
A mid-season update for Season 3 will bring additional items and features to the game, including the Gulag Entry Kit. This new item offers players a second chance for redeployment after being eliminated in the Gulag, allowing them to return to the game immediately without relying on their squadmates. The mid-season update will also introduce the Perk Package Items and the Deployable Buy Station to the game, offering new strategic options for players to utilise.
