If you’re journeying through the scenic Necluda or Faron region in ‘Tears of the Kingdom’, don’t miss the opportunity to unlock the intriguing Popla Foothills Skyview Tower.
However, accessing the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower isn’t as straightforward as it seems, and you’ll need to crack a mini-puzzle before you can ascend into the clouds. For a comprehensive overview of all 15 tower locations, feel free to reference our guide on All Skyview Tower Locations.
Here’s your guide to locating the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower, and the steps to unlock it.
Identifying the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower
The Popla Foothills Skyview Tower is one of two towers in West Necluda and lies approximately at coordinates 0607, -2111, 0094.
Upon arrival, you’ll realise that the entrance isn’t as inviting as you might expect, with no evident solution to access the tower. But worry not, your arsenal of tools isn’t necessary here. All you need is a bit of patience and readiness for a short trek.
Unlocking the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower
As you approach the Skyview Tower, you’ll come across the Popla Foothills North Well. Your journey begins here – plunge into the water below to discover a hidden cave system. Follow the path until you reach a barricaded area where you’ll hear a voice pleading for help.
Engage in conversation with the captive man to learn that he’s fallen prey to a trap. The only means to liberate him is from the other side of the barricade. This, however, is impossible from your current location, so depart from the well, either by foot or using Ascend.
Next, proceed to the southernmost part of the hill and descend to the base. At roughly coordinates 0604, -2191, 0052, you’ll encounter the Popla Foothills Excavation Site, a brief tunnel fortified by wooden beams. You’ll notice the reverse side of the cell at the tunnel’s end, along with a lever. Place a weighty object on it, or use yourself as the weight, to release the man and receive a reward of 50 purple Rupees. Subsequently, employ Ascend to return to the tower, where the grateful man will repair it for your use.
