Earlier, a leak hinted at another exciting partnership between Diablo 4 and KFC. According to this information, players will have the opportunity to earn five distinctive in-game rewards during the crossover event, rumoured to be running from 29th May to 2nd July.
The Five Unique KFC-Themed Diablo 4 Cosmetic Items
Reddit user FlamePuppet has now put forth an intriguing post revealing the potential crossover items. If the post is to be trusted, the five promotional rewards will be unique cosmetic weapon skins. Packed with creative KFC-themed puns, these items are far from comical in appearance. Designed to complement the grim environment of Sanctuary, these weapon skins are versatile enough to match any ensemble available in Diablo 4’s extensive transmog system.
The Diablo 4 KFC promotional cosmetic weapons are speculated to be:
- The Vessel of Eleven: A totem solely for Diablo 4 Druids, named after KFC’s famous 11 herbs and spices.
- The Thrumming Axle: A staff designed to resemble KFC’s chicken rotisseries.
- The Dread Pheasant Slayer: A bow making a nod to a chicken-like bird.
- The Hand of Gallus: A polearm named in line with the scientific nomenclature for chickens.
- The Foul Reaper: A two-handed scythe, punning on ‘fowl’ and bearing resemblance to a chicken tender on a fork.
Although Blizzard has not officially announced the event, the evidence seems compelling. The original leak came from the same source who previously revealed the first Diablo 4 KFC promotion featuring closed beta participation codes. Plus, the weapon models shown in the recent leak haven’t been seen in the game before.
