World of Warcraft has recently revealed via social media the duration of two upcoming crossover events that will coincide with the release of Diablo 4. With these events taking place around the launch of the much-awaited action RPG, World of Warcraft players can look forward to a range of activities before and after the game drops.

Evidence of a crossover event between Diablo 4 and WOW was recently discovered by players on the Dragonflight Public Test Realm. Datamined assets and descriptions suggest that players can acquire unique cosmetics and items, and also receive significant boosts to reputation and experience gains during the event.

Memorise These Dates

The PTR has provided players with concrete dates for the upcoming Diablo 4 crossover events in World of Warcraft. Divided into two distinct parts, the first activity called “A Greedy Emissary” will run from May 25th in just over a months time, through June 13th. During this time, players can hunt for Treasure Goblins to obtain special cosmetic rewards.

The second part, “Welcome to Sanctuary,” will start on June 15th and continue until July 10th, granting players a 50% experience boost and an 8% reputation gain buff, with the exception of the brand new Loamm Niffen Renown faction from Embers of Neltharion.

UK content creator MrGM broke the news on Twitter just a few hours ago and as WOW has not yet released an official statement regarding the event, it’s possible that the details may still undergo some changes. However, the dates appear to be strategically chosen to coincide with the launch of Diablo 4, and to encourage players to continue logging into World of Warcraft after the initial hype has died down.

Once Blizzard provides an official announcement, players can expect more information on the specifics of obtaining these cosmetic rewards.

Fans of both Diablo 4 and World of Warcraft have been eagerly anticipating their respective releases. However, in the meantime, World of Warcraft players will have Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion, to keep them occupied.

The update, set to drop on May 2nd, will introduce a new zone, numerous quests and activities, and the second Dragonflight raid to the game. This means that players will have a variety of new content to explore and enjoy until the launch of Diablo 4 and its accompanying crossover event.
