Upcoming Patch Details

Prepare to explore the depths of the underground world in the upcoming patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion, for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The patch will introduce the massive Zaralek Caverns, accessible through several underground tunnels located throughout the Dragon Isles, which are home to a new faction of mole-like creatures called the niffen. Fyrrak Assaults, a new open-world activity, will put players to the test as they battle against the forces of the Primalists.

In addition to this, the update will bring new dragonriding glyphs for players to collect, new types of world quests, and the continuation of the main storyline. The highly anticipated feature of cross-faction guilds will also finally arrive, marking the first time in nearly twenty years that players can join and create guilds that span different factions. Final Seasonal Content

As for the final seasonal content, the upcoming 10.1 update marks the beginning of Dragonflight Season 2, scheduled to commence in the week of May 9th a month from now, as confirmed by Blizzard. The update will release the Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties for the Abberus, the Shadowed Crucible raid, set in Neltharion’s covert laboratory. The raid promises to offer plenty of nostalgic moments with older Black Dragonflight-themed encounters. Including Blackwing Lair from Vanilla and Blackwing Descent from Cataclysm. Alongside this, the Mythic+ dungeon rotation, complete with new seasonal affixes, will begin, and the seasonal PvP ladders will also reset during the same week.

Blizzard’s 2023 WoW content roadmap indicates that the game will receive two major updates this year, with Embers of Neltharion being the first. Later in 2023, fans can anticipate the release of one major update and two minor updates in total. The roadmap details were taken from the original source that is the official WOW blog post.
