Ubisoft has released a new Assassin’s Creed Mirage Deluxe Edition trailer showcasing its Prince of Persia-inspired cosmetic and weapon pack ahead of the game’s October launch.
The Assassin’s Creed Mirage Deluxe Edition includes seven Prince of Persia-inspired items:
- Sand Outfit
- Sand Sword
- Dagger of Time
- Sand Horse
- Sand Eagle
- Hourglass of Time
- Desert Sands Initiate of Alamut outfit dye
The Sand Sword and Dagger of Time are more than cosmetic references. Ubisoft describes the Sand Sword as capable of healing its wielder, while the Dagger of Time contains sands linked to manipulating time, directly referencing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Alongside the Deluxe Pack, buyers receive a 78-page digital art book and a selected digital soundtrack. An internet connection will be required to access those extras through the official website when the game launches.
Ubisoft has also confirmed that the Deluxe Edition will be included with Ubisoft+ on day one.
The trailer arrives one week after Ubisoft showed eight minutes of Assassin’s Creed Mirage gameplay, including Basim’s parkour, stealth tools, Assassin’s Focus and an assassination mission through ninth-century Baghdad.
Players who pre-order the game will also receive The Forty Thieves bonus quest. That quest is a pre-order incentive rather than an exclusive part of the Deluxe Edition.
Mirage follows Basim as he progresses from a street thief into a member of the Hidden Ones, with Ubisoft positioning the game as a more focused return to the stealth, assassination and urban parkour associated with earlier Assassin’s Creed titles.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently scheduled for 12 October 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, with the game also available through Amazon Luna and Ubisoft+.
Later update: Ubisoft subsequently moved Assassin’s Creed Mirage forward by one week, with the game and Deluxe Edition ultimately launching on 5 October 2023.
