Ubisoft, never a company to let a good reveal go by unnoticed, has just pulled back the curtain on six game-changing gadgets that will empower Basim, the star of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, as he goes toe-to-toe with the Templar Order. The cunningly crafted contraptions will rev up Mirage’s stealth gameplay, offering an intriguing array of tactical choices for confusing the enemy, swiftly dispatching unsuspecting targets, and slinking off without a whisper.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the hotly anticipated new kid on the Ubisoft block, promises a bold break from the RPG elements that previous games were noted for. Ever since AC Origins threw RPG mechanics into the mix, a fervent faction of fans has been clamouring for a return to the franchise’s pure, undiluted roots. Mirage, with its firm focus on stealth, seems to be answering that call.

Ubisoft’s Twitter Tease: Six Stealth-Enhancing Tools

In a tantalising Twitter tease, Ubisoft unveiled six tools that players can deploy in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Here’s everything you need to know about the 6 new tools coming to the game.

The 6 New Tools Detailed

Topping the list is a humble torch – simplicity itself, but handy for lighting up the gloom and for a spot of impromptu arson. The second tool is the sleep-inducing blowdart – just the thing for sending enemies off to the Land of Nod from a safe distance. Also making the cut is the timeless smoke bomb, a beloved mainstay of the stealth series, ideal for making a swift exit amidst a cloak of smoke.

Tool number four is decidedly the deadliest of the lot – the stealthy throwing knife. Long favoured in earlier games for swift, silent takedowns from a distance, it remains a weapon of choice. Next up is the noisemaker, perfect for creating a distraction, allowing players to glide past oblivious enemies. The sixth and final innovation aimed at invigorating the title’s gameplay is the throwable poison trap. Once triggered, it spews a lethal gas cloud, slowly whittling down the health of any unfortunate soul caught in its toxic grip.

Armed with these devices, the savvy player will find that Basim’s prowling skills around Baghdad reach new levels of precision and mastery, promising a captivating experience for stealth aficionados. With a significantly pared-back map compared to previous outings, Mirage could be setting the stage for the focused and intimate gameplay journey that fans have been yearning for.
