Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 Trophy Lists Unearthed, Including First MGS List.

With the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 compilation launching soon, the full trophy lists for all three included Metal Gear Solid games have been revealed online, including the very first trophy set for the seminal 1998 PlayStation classic.
The Master Collection bundles enhanced ports of PS1 masterpiece Metal Gear Solid, PS2’s epic Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and PS2’s tactical jungle prequel Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It brings these stealth action classics to modern platforms on October 24th.
While Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater received trophy support in their 2011 HD remasters on PS3, Xbox 360, and PS Vita, the original Metal Gear Solid never had trophies until now. So this represents the first chance to earn a Platinum trophy for completing the pioneering tactical espionage classic.
Gaming tophy website PowerPyx leaked all three Metal Gear Solid trophy lists ahead of release. Starting with the original, its trophy set is streamlined at 19 trophies including 1 Platinum, 9 Gold, 3 Silver, and 6 Bronze.

The trophies which are for PS4 and PS5 focus on story progression, with Bronze trophies for beating each boss and Gold for harder rematches or final showdowns. Bandana unlocks, Big Boss rank, completing VR Missions, and exorcising a ghost also earn trophies.
Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater contain over 50 trophies each thanks to being more complex 3D sequels. Their lists are mostly identical to the HD versions, but with a few new trophies added like no alert runs.

Earning Platinum MGS trophies requires mastery, especially Big Boss rank for the first game. That demands finishing on Hard within 3 hours, killing 25+ enemies, triggering under 4 alerts, using 1 ration or less, and no continues.
Completing all 300+ VR Missions spanning puzzles, stealth, and combat also poses a challenge. Overall, attaining Fox, Big Boss, and Platinum trophies will test veterans’ abilities.
While daunting for newcomers, the trophies provide satisfying goals for diehard fans to prove their prowess. Trophy support brings modern prestige to these iconic games.

Optional Content For PlayStation Owners
Konami adding trophies to the PlayStation versions shows welcome respect for the classics that defined the stealth action genre and influenced countless titles since. They reward devotees for years of dedication.
Seeing the first Metal Gear Solid trophy list is especially momentous. As a foundational PS1 title that never had trophies, its inclusion represents overdue recognition. Players can finally platinum the masterpiece.

Of course, simply experiencing these classics on modern platforms will cause excitement. But the trophies add replayability for expert runs and challenges.
Between visual enhancements and features like quick saving, the Master Collection already modernises the games. These additions provide another way for veterans to engage with beloved content.
With Konami relaunching Silent Hill and potentially other dormant IPs, Metal Gear trophies could signal further revivals if sales warrant it. Providing revered franchises additional content helps build goodwill.

- Master Collection Vol. 1: Konami’s Surprise with a Keyboard Sting
While the collections include concessions like optional easier difficulties, unlockable trophies preserve the hardcore high-level play that defined Metal Gear originally. Players can tailor their experience.
With Hideo Kojima now independent and Konami recycling Metal Gear, a full-fledged return to glory seems unlikely. But the Master Collection offers a nostalgic trip for fans to relive tactical espionage at its best.
