Overwatch 2’s Season 10 Ventures into a Twisted Mirror Universe

Blizzard is set to launch Season 10 of Overwatch 2 on April 16th 2024, and it’s bringing some major changes to the competitive hero shooter. But the most intriguing addition to Season 10 is the Mirrorwatch Event, which flips the script on the game’s heroes and villains.

This mode features heroic versions of notorious Talon operatives like Widowmaker, Doomfist, and Sombra, as well as villainous counterparts of beloved good guys such as Reinhardt, Tracer, and Brigitte.

These mirror versions of the characters don’t just have a simple cosmetic swap, their abilities have also been reimagined to match their realigned allegiances.

For instance, the heroic Doomfist now wields Reinhardt’s massive shield, allowing him to protect his teammates instead of just himself.

Meanwhile, the Talon-inspired Vengeance Mercy can fire projectiles from her Caduceus Staff, a new ability that was recently teased in Overwatch 2’s April Fools’ Day event.

The Mirrorwatch Event will run from April 23rd to May 16th, giving players ample time to experience the inverted roles and unique abilities of these mirror heroes and villains.

In addition to the Mirrorwatch skins, the season also introduces the Mythic skin “Vengeance Mercy,” a Talon-themed style for the support hero.

Overwatch 2’s S10 also brings the Clash Trial Game Mode, a new 5v5 experience where teams engage in an intense tug of war to capture and control a series of points.

Most of the new skins are available via the battle pass, but players can further customise their heroes by unlocking Mythic Prisms, which can be used to acquire the Vengeance Mercy skin and select previous Mythic skins from the in-game shop.

Alongside these major updates, Blizzard has also teased a new Porsche collaboration skin for D.Va, which will be available to players in the near future.

Details on the collab are extremely scarce at the moment, so be on the look-out for more news on that in the coming weeks ahead.

Overwatch 2’s Season 10: Venture Forth promises to shake up the game’s dynamics with the introduction of a fresh Damage Hero and the captivating Mirrorwatch Event.

Fans of the hero shooter can look forward to experiencing the twisted mirror universe and unlocking a range of unique skins and gameplay opportunities when the season launches on April 16.
