The Slaughter Family Grows Stronger
Fans of the chilling survival horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre are in for a terrifying treat! Gun Media and Sumo Digital have revealed two new characters joining the game’s roster of killers and survivors on June 11th – and they’re shaking up the deadly Slaughter family dynamics.
Meet Hands – The Newest Killer
First, there’s the imposing new killer “Hands.” At a towering 7 feet tall and weighing a monstrous 350 pounds, this hulking brute lives up to his name with immense physical strength.
He can literally rip apart almost anything using just his bare hands!
Played by horror actor Robert Mukes from the cult classic House of 1000 Corpses, Hands is a distant cousin to the infamous Slaughter clan.
His brutish, violent nature makes him a true threat to any survivors unlucky enough to cross his path.
Hands’ unique “Ripstall” ability allows him to forcibly rip out valves and fuses across the game’s maps.
As a former mechanic, he can nearly instantly restart generators or batteries if survivors manage to turn them off.
He also wields makeshift electrified traps created from old cattle prods.
Hands can set these deadly snares on barricades, crawlspaces and metal objects, zapping anyone who gets too close!
If that wasn’t enough, his sheer size lets Hands physically barge through groups of players trying to escape.
In the new trailer, the killer showcases his trademark hammer as his clear go-to weapon of choice.
Coordinating with his murderous family, this new killer seems poised to make life even harder for survivors. This new update will be great for multiplayer and the developers are not slowing down on the hard work they’ve put in to the game thus far.
Maria – Mysterious New Survivor
On the survivor side, there’s the newly introduced Maria. While little is confirmed about her abilities so far, the ominous trailer hints at a dark connection to the Slaughter family.
The footage shows a bloodied Maria being discovered in their house, before she urgently whispers something to the family’s patriarch Grandpa.
Is she now loyal to her captors, or simply biding her time? Players will have to wait and see.
The last victim to join the roster was the popular Virginia, who’s actually voiced by horror veteran Barbara Crampton.
One thing’s for sure – with Hands joining the family’s killer ranks and Maria’s uncertain allegiance, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is about to get even more intense when this terrifying duo arrive on June 11th. Survivors, prepare for a real fight for your lives!
