Robin Hood Joins the Merry Band of Xbox Game Pass
In a surprise addition to its ever-growing catalogue, Xbox Game Pass has welcomed “Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders” to its ranks. Check out the launch trailer below:
This action-adventure RPG, which blends classic Robin Hood lore with base-building mechanics, is now available for subscribers to enjoy at no additional cost.
Released initially on Steam in February 2024, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders has already garnered hundreds of positive reviews.
The game puts players in the iconic green of Robin Hood himself, tasking them with building a thriving community of rebels while battling against the oppressive Sheriff of Nottingham.
The gameplay loop of “Sherwood Builders” offers a unique twist on the Robin Hood tale.
Players will split their time between venturing into the open world of Sherwood Forest to gather resources, disrupt enemy patrols, and recruit new followers, and returning to their base to expand and develop their growing community.
As the game progresses, players can train their recruits into various professions, from craftsmen to hunters and guards, creating a diverse and capable band of merry men and women.
This addition to Game Pass continues Microsoft’s commitment to bringing a variety of genres and experiences to its subscription service.
Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders joins 13 other titles added to Game Pass in June 2024, including high-profile titles like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Octopath Traveler, The Callisto Protocol, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Dead Space and EA Sports FC 24.
For those without an active Game Pass subscription, Microsoft is currently offering a promotional deal: new subscribers can get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass for just £1/$1 for the first two weeks. After the trial period, the subscription reverts to the standard price of £12.99/$16.99 per month.
Looking ahead, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have more to look forward to in July. Microsoft has already announced six day-one releases for next month, including the highly anticipated “Frostpunk 2” and Capcom’s action-strategy title “Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.”
Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders is now available on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Game Pass, as well as through Cloud Gaming.
The game is priced at £24.99 on the Xbox Store for non-subscribers. It’s worth noting that the title is not available on Xbox One consoles.
As players don the mantle of Robin Hood and begin their quest to build a thriving rebel community, it’s clear that this unique blend of action-RPG and base-building elements offers a fresh take on the legendary outlaw’s tale.
Whether you’re splitting arrows or splitting the difference between resource management and open-world adventure, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders promises to keep Game Pass subscribers entertained as they rob from the rich and give to the poor.
