This crossover, set to launch on October 17th, 2024, will introduce five new Legendary skins to the hero-based shooter, further expanding its growing list of high-profile collaborations.

The crossover event will feature the following character pairings:

  1. Tracer as Izuku Midoriya (Deku)
  2. Reinhardt as All Might
  3. Juno as Ochaco Uraraka
  4. Reaper as Tomura Shigaraki
  5. Kiriko as Himiko Toga

This lineup showcases a mix of heroes and villains from the beloved anime series, offering players the chance to embody both sides of the My Hero Academia universe.

Unlike previous anime collaborations in other games, such as Fortnite with The Last Airbender crossover, which used cel-shaded models, Overwatch 2’s My Hero Academia skins will feature 3D models that complement the game’s existing art style. This approach aims to seamlessly integrate the anime characters into the Overwatch universe while maintaining their iconic looks.

The new skins will be available through a mega bundle in the in-game shop, which will include additional cosmetic items.

While the exact contents and pricing of the bundle have not been revealed, speculation suggests it may cost around 5,600 Overwatch coins, with individual skins potentially priced at 2,500 Overwatch coins.

The announcement has generated significant excitement within the Overwatch community, with players taking to social media to express their enthusiasm and share ideas for potential future crossovers. Many fans are particularly thrilled to see Juno receive her first themed skin, especially one based on a popular character like Uraraka.

As of now, the collaboration has been confirmed for Xbox OneXbox Series S|X, PS4, PS5 and PC platforms. The availability for PlayStation users was initially unknown, but it has since been confirmed.

This My Hero Academia crossover not only adds fresh content to Overwatch 2’s Season 12 but also demonstrates Blizzard’s commitment to engaging with popular culture and providing diverse, exciting experiences for its player base.

Remember, these heroes and villains for the My Hero Academia Mega Bundle are only here for a limited-time, running from Oct 17-30.
